I totally could have had this sweater finished by now if I wasn't so easily distracted.
I'm usually very "zoom to the finish" on sweaters but I keep seeing shiny things everywhere.
I was probably doomed when I signed up to knit my handspun sweater for the Handspun Heptathalon event of the Ravelympics 2008
Once there was an actual deadline looming, I started doing everything but knitting this sweater. I spent 6 hours decoupaging my kitchen cabinets... started a scarf with my handspun silk...plurked... and plurked and plurked.
(Here's a quick shot of one of the cabinet doors)
But there has been some progress. I'm about half way done with sleeve one. A weekend of dedicated knitting would finish her off. But she'll probably instead be knit in fits and spurts while I knit for the Olympics ;) the good news is that I tried her on before starting the sleeves and the fit is fabulous.
Now I just have to decide between knitting up my handspun as a basic raglan cardigan or using the Sunrise Circle pattern. Decisions Decisions!
Oh, and here's a shot of the spinning distraction. This 3 ply worsted was spun from Combed Corriedale top from Spunky Eclectic.

The shot of your cabinet is incredible!!!
I can't see how you can keep your hands off the sweater. It looks so beautiful, and a FO is so close.
Amazing cabinets.
