Happy Holidays and almost New Year! And now for the photo-fest.

I'm finishing up wips left and right around here lately and it feels great. I finished Dad's hat in plenty of time for Christmas, so I whipped one up for the nephew as well. I tried to take pictures of Dad wearing his hat both ways, but there was a bit of user error/dorkiness going on so the balaclava picture is a little wonky. It really does fold out into a normal looking balaclava with hat deelio.

Look while his cuteness tries to swallow your soul. Don't worry, it won't hurt. :)

Mom's socks fit perfectly, she does have two of them, but managed to hold up one foot for the photo op.

After the gift knitting was over I spent a couple of days knitting up my handspun bfl into a vest. This took about half of the yarn I made.

I've also been knitting like mad on my pi shawl for the first time in months. I'm 7 rows from starting the border (which will be an edging from Victorian Lace Today) so it shouldn't be long now. Here's my plump kitty posing with said lump of unblocked lace.

Today however, I took some of my leftover handspun and finally knit up a cozy for my odd shaped and rather bulky camera. I love my camera because it has a great optical zoom, but the lens cap is always falling off so it really needed a cozy. I knit the base in the shape of the camera and then used a zillion dpns to knit each section up and then sewed them together to keep the shape of the camera. I love the final product.
