Now I'm working on some oatmeal colored BFL from Spunky. It's sooo soft. I picked up some Alpaca/Merino at the Fiber station today that I can't wait to try out too.

How's my holiday knitting coming you say??

I received word yesterday that my spinning wheel is finally in transit. It left Oregon on Monday via UPS, so I should have it some time between today and Friday. w00t.

I'm hoping that the latest batch of fibery goodness will arrive in the mail for me today. I ordered some dyed locks from Spunky Eclectic and I can't wait to play with the hand carders that are shipping with my wheel. I would have most likely already received them, but someone plowed into our mailbox for the third time in 6 months and it was out of commisson Saturday-Tuesday Afternoon.

If I'm really lucky the yarn for Dad's hat will be waiting for me too. Mom is loving her silky wool prototype. She was bragging about it to my sister, by calling it a "face mask" and I thought she was talking about the goopy spa stuff rather than my convertible hat/balaclava creation. LOL. In the same order as Dad's yarn should be "Teach yourself Handspinning, Visually" (or something to that effect) I've got to remember to take the library spinning books back this week.

Here's a picture of the weekend snow storm. We got another inch or two after this picture was taken, but then it was all washed away in the deluge that followed. No pictures of the flood. We lucked out with just some water in the garage. We need to reseal the deck above the garage again. It was no match for 8 inches of rain, or whatever we ended up getting in those 2 days.
