The knitting is finished on Evan's birthday present and the seaming has begun. w00t. I should have it finished by tomorrow night, just in time for blocking, as his party is on Saturday.
I had an amusing (to me anyway)KIP moment yesterday. I was working on my travel sock at the Honda dealer, while they looked at my scooter. An older lady sat down next to me and commented that she used to knit socks, back in the day. Argyle socks. I said something about oh yes, aren't socks wonderful for keeping in your purse when you have to wait.
She didn't want any of that. She explained she had to give up knitting because it made her too tense. All the counting, all the counting, keeping track of rows, it was terribly stressful. (I think she said counting 6 times) I think I must have given her a bad knitting flash back or something, oh dear. Haven't had that reaction before.
